Second Consultative Meeting of Health-Related NGOs Held at Iran University of Medical Sciences

On Sunday, September 6, the second consultative meeting of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) active in the field of health was held at Iran University of Medical Sciences. The session was attended by representatives of several health-related NGOs, including Ms. Fatemeh AzimBeig, expert at the Tobacco Control Research Center, as well as the Head of NGOs and Health Donors at the University, alongside representatives from the Vice-Chancellorship for Treatment and the Vice-Chancellorship for Health of Iran University of Medical Sciences.

According to the Association’s Public Relations Office, the meeting was convened with the aim of developing a roadmap for NGOs working in the health sector.

During the session, the “Seventh Development Plan” was emphasized as the country’s overarching policy document and legal framework guiding five-year national planning. Discussions focused on leveraging constructive collaboration with NGOs to design a practical and operational framework aligned with the objectives of the Seventh Development Plan in the field of health.
