The schedule for the National No Tobacco Week 2026 2026 (May 25 25 to May 31 31 ) has been officially announced.

According to the Public Relations of the Iranian Anti-Tobacco Association (IATA), every year, on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day on May 3131, extensive measures are taken worldwide revolving around the World Health Organization’s (WHO) annual theme. These global efforts aim to raise public awareness regarding the dangers of tobacco consumption, exposure to secondhand smoke, and the prevention of related diseases.

The WHO theme for World No Tobacco Day in 20262026 is “Unveiling the Glamour: Tackling Nicotine and Tobacco Addiction.” This theme emphasizes exposing the tactics used by the tobacco and nicotine industries to glamorize their products, particularly targeting children and adolescents. The goal is to raise global awareness and foster support for enacting and enforcing effective policies to prevent the glamorization of tobacco and nicotine products.

Following a coordination meeting for National No Tobacco Week at the Secretariat of the National Tobacco Control Headquarters (Ministry of Health and Medical Education), the national theme for the year 14051405 (20262026) was determined as “Exposing Glamorization and False Advertising for a Tobacco-Free Generation.”
