On Sunday morning, 28 December 2025, a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Iranian Anti-Tobacco Association was held, focusing on planning for the upcoming General Assembly, follow-up on national-level meetings, and the implementation of approved cultural initiatives.
According to the Public Relations Office of the Association, the meeting was attended by Mr. Haj Mahmoud Loulachian, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Hojjatoleslam Dr. Seyed Hassan Moein Shirazi, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Hojjatoleslam Dr. Mostafa Morsali, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Haj Hossein Soleimani, Board Member; Dr. Mohammadreza Masjedi, Secretary General; and Mr. Ali Ata Taheri, Executive Director of the Association.
At the beginning of the session, members discussed and exchanged views on holding the General Assembly meeting on 22 January 2026, aimed at electing the new Board of Directors. The proposed timeline and executive requirements for organizing this event were reviewed.
Subsequently, the follow-up on arranging a meeting with the Ministry of Education was addressed, with an emphasis on expanding educational cooperation in the field of tobacco use prevention. Strategies to accelerate coordination and implementation were examined. In addition, the organization of a meeting with the Endowment and Charity Affairs Organization was placed on the agenda, with the objective of utilizing the organization’s cultural and social capacities.
Another key topic of the meeting was the follow-up on the resolution of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, focusing on completing the final administrative steps and its official notification by the President. The members emphasized the urgency of expediting this process.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed that all discussed matters—including the organization of the General Assembly, coordination with the Ministry of Education and the Endowment and Charity Affairs Organization, and the completion of the signing and notification process of the Supreme Council’s resolution—would be continuously monitored, with progress reports to be presented at future meetings.
