According to the Public Relations Office of the Association, the provincial branch in Fars organized the painting competition in conjunction with Iran’s National Tobacco‑Free Week 1405 (2026) with the objective of enhancing awareness among children and adolescents about the harmful consequences of tobacco consumption.
The competition, designed specifically for children and teenagers, invited participants to express their perspectives on the health risks associated with tobacco use and the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle through creative drawings and artistic expression under the theme “Tobacco: The Enemy of Health, Life Without Tobacco.”
The submitted artworks illustrated the capacity of children and adolescents to play a meaningful role in promoting a culture of tobacco‑use prevention and in communicating the message of healthy living to families and the wider community. Employing artistic expression as an educational and cultural tool is widely recognized as an effective strategy for raising awareness among younger generations about the consequences of tobacco use while strengthening their sense of social responsibility.
The Fars Provincial Office of the Iranian Anti‑Tobacco Association expressed its appreciation for the valuable participation of children, adolescents, and their families, and emphasized the importance of sustaining cultural and educational initiatives centered on the vision of a “Tobacco‑Free Generation.” The office also reaffirmed its commitment to expanding preventive and awareness‑raising activities across the community.
