PAD Program Instructor Training Exam Held

On Saturday, September 12, the instructor training exam and a consultation meeting with executive managers and team leaders of the PAD program (Prevention of Tobacco Use) from Varamin, Robat Karim, and District 12 of Tehran were held at the office of the Iranian Anti-Tobacco Association.

According to the Association’s Public Relations Office, this meeting followed the resolution of the third executive team session held on September 8, during which managers and team leaders agreed to complete the instructor training course (consisting of 17 audiovisual files totaling approximately four hours) remotely and participate in a final exam.

The session began with remarks from Dr. Sharif Torkaman Nejad, the Association’s scientific advisor, who explained the exam process. Following the written exam, he addressed participants’ questions, clarified key points, and provided supplementary explanations about the PAD program.

Later, Hamidreza Shahsoon, Executive Secretary of the PAD program, discussed the practical challenges of implementing the initiative in Varamin, Robat Karim, and District 12 of Tehran, offering recommendations to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the program.

Ali Atta Taheri, Executive Director of the Association, expressed appreciation for the dedication and collaboration of executive managers and team leaders. He emphasized the importance of sustained cooperation to ensure the successful implementation of the PAD program, particularly with the start of the new school year.

In conclusion, the executive managers of the PAD program shared their concerns and challenges in implementing the initiative within schools, underscoring the need for continued support and problem-solving to advance the program’s goals.
